Richard Young has experience spanning 11 Olympic cycles: his work is grounded in a deep analysis of what separates podium performers from those who fall short. By studying medallists, non-medallists, and their support systems, clear patterns have emerged around behaviours, blind spots, leadership decisions, and system alignment — insights that now underpin a proven approach to high performance.
Global Expertise Across Sport, Innovation & Performance Systems
Richard's experience includes competing as an international athlete, coaching world champions, and working across more than 50 sports in seven countries. He has also led the development of national technology and innovation programmes in both Great Britain and New Zealand, and played a key role in building performance knowledge and learning systems supporting Olympic, Winter Olympic, and Paralympic teams.

Combining expertise in physiology and biomedical engineering with real-world leadership experience, Richard's work focuses on creating high-performance environments that last.
